2. Set a Direction

Before you start cleaning, plan out a schedule and set a direction. Write down which room you are going to do first and which is going last. In a room, choose a starting point and go either clockwise or anti-clockwise. This will get you into the swing of things. Once it becomes a habit, you’ll get more and more efficient with every room.

3. Prepare the tools

Prepare all the necessary tools such as detergents and unwanted rags in a basket and bring it with you all the time. With them loaded in the basket, you can quickly grab them and move to the next location without leaving any tools behind. Trust us, you will not want to run back to your living room to get your rag when you are in the middle of scrubbing bathroom floor. For our teak lovers, a damp cloth and a bottle of teak oil are all you need to keep your wooden furniture sparkling and ready! Simply wipe the furniture with a damp cloth and polish it with a small amount of teak oil on a dry cloth. For detailed teak care, click here.

4. Harness the power of Baking Soda, Lemon and Vinegar

These three items does wonders – Baking soda, lemon and vinegar! They are effective in eliminating odour and making surfaces squeaky clean again. You can use them to clean stainless steel sinks, windows, as well as tiles. For example, cut a lemon in half and rub it on stainless steel to remove hard water stains and rust.

Heat up a glass of vinegar in the microwave for 1 minute and the steam will make it easier for you to wipe off built-up stains. So why waste so much energy on scrubbing when you can do it easily with the help of these three magic items!

Fun Fact: Do you know that distilled white vinegar is an excellent mold killing agent for wood furniture? You can wipe away most of the mold by spraying white vinegar on your furniture and leave it on for one hour.
