August is here – the month that gets everyone excited (and not just because of Music Bank)! The parade, the sudden rush of love for home and country, the National Day sales, the free 4G and free cable channels - all are things we look forward to this month (admit it, the free 4G is awesome). With just National Day just around the corner, here are some tips to get your home ready for that NDP party!
1. Add some red touches to your home for this celebratory week!
You don't need to go out and buy stuff (save that for Christmas presents); dig up those Chinese New Year/Christmas/Festive cushions to add a splash to your sofa.

2. Pick out your trendiest red and white ensemble.
If you don't have anything, just head to your nearest Giordano or HangTen store - we all know how big they are about National Day.
3. If you're just here for the shopping, National Day week is great for sales
Save moolah (so you can buy more on Foodpanda, lah) by looking out for practical steals!

4. Check and double confirm!
If you love the parade but didn't get tickets - do your sound and visual checks on your AV equipment at home.
5. Be a little bit Kiasu.
Having a NDP party at home with friends and family is great - so everyone else will be doing it too! Have your Foodpanda/Deliveroo/UberEats app on standby and play fastest finger first. Order early so you don't end up waiting longer than usual for food.
But seriously though. Free 4G. Stream the parade la. In fact, stream everything.
